Vienna Oeko cotton fabric cards

Task:
As part of a public participation process in various districts of Vienna, the residents (both schoolchildren and adults) are being asked about environmental issues. Specifically, this means producing city plans printed on natural fiber for the different districts, which are intended to serve as a guide for future discussions.

Since the primary focus is on climate-friendly solutions in the respective city districts, sustainable work materials are to be distributed in a toolbox to 50 districts.

Requirements:
* Environmentally friendly, i.e. sustainable materials

* Printed in high resolution; the readability of the street names must be ensured.

* Appealing haptic feel

Foldable into the preset size for the toolbox

Problems:
1. To achieve optimal legibility even for smaller street names, so far only polyester or PVC has been used as the printing material.

2. PVC panels are difficult to fold, limited in size, or impractical to use.

3. PVC is problematic when it comes to disposal.

Solution:
At our new plant in Spain, the PhotoFabrics GmbH Reaktivdrucke in the high-output printing

1440 dpi printing mode on sustainable Oekotex-certified cotton fabrics sourced from South America.

With this, we will be fulfilling the wishes of our increasingly young customer base for new, innovative and at the same time sustainable solutions starting in 2021.
