The Maschenmuseum in Albstadt once again demonstrated in the summer of 2024 with the exhibition „Refugium Textil“ how diverse and exciting the world of textiles can be. A special highlight was the installation „Fadenspiel“ by Cordula Schneider.

The artist has digitally printed her works on transparent gauze in accordance with fire safety standards. print This creates airy, lightweight fabric patterns that fill the space in a very special way. The installation seems like a dialogue between the individual patterns: they blend together, blend into each other, and create a fascinating intertwining.

The transparency of the gauze creates a lightness that allows the space to breathe. At the same time, the printed motifs create a depth and density that captivates the viewer. „Fadenspiel“ is an invitation that invites the viewer not only to observe the works but also to experience them.
